Peer Review Process
Tazakka: Jurnal Pendidikan dan Keislaman is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity and scholarly quality through a rigorous peer review process.
1. Initial Editorial Screening
All submitted manuscripts undergo an initial evaluation by the Editorial Team to determine whether the manuscript:

Falls within the scope of the journal.

Follows the journal’s author guidelines.

Meets basic academic writing standards.

Passes a plagiarism/similarity check (maximum similarity index of 20%, excluding references and properly cited quotations).
Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage without external review.
2. Double-Blind Peer Review
This journal applies a double-blind peer review system, meaning:

The identity of the authors is concealed from the reviewers.

The identity of the reviewers is concealed from the authors.
Each manuscript is reviewed by at least two independent reviewers who are experts in the relevant field.
Reviewers evaluate manuscripts based on:

Originality and novelty of the research

Theoretical and methodological rigor

Relevance to Islamic education and related fields

Clarity of argumentation and analysis

Quality and adequacy of references

Contribution to knowledge and scholarly discussion
3. Review Outcome and Editorial Decision
Based on reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief may issue one of the following decisions:

Accept without revision

Accept with minor revisions

Accept with major revisions

Reject
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts according to the reviewers’ comments within the specified time frame.
The final decision regarding publication rests with the Editor-in-Chief.
4. Review Timeline
The peer review process typically takes 2–4 weeks, depending on reviewer availability and the complexity of the manuscript.
Authors will be notified of the editorial decision as soon as the review process is completed.
5. Confidentiality and Ethical Standards
All manuscripts are treated as confidential documents. Reviewers are required to:

Maintain confidentiality of the manuscript.

Not use unpublished materials for personal research.

Declare any potential conflicts of interest.
The journal adheres to recognized international publication ethics standards.
6. Revision and Resubmission
Revised manuscripts will be evaluated by the Editor and, when necessary, returned to the original reviewers to ensure that revisions adequately address the comments.
Failure to submit revisions within the allocated time may result in withdrawal of the manuscript from the review process.
